Copernicus by FarmSolutions

Irrigate by the light, not the clock.

Copernicus is an irrigation controller that triggers each zone from measured light instead of a fixed timer. It’s built for substrate and tabletop growers, and it fits greenhouses and nurseries too.

The problem

A timer doesn’t know what the sun did today.

Clock-based irrigation runs the same program on a cloudy morning as on a bright afternoon. Substrate holds little water, so crop demand rises and falls with the day’s light, and a fixed schedule can’t keep up.

Copernicus starts from what the crop actually received: light, measured and tracked through the day.

How it works

Light in, water out.

  1. 01

    Measure the light

A research-grade light (PAR) sensor tracks how much light the crop has received through the day.

  2. 02

    Trigger each zone

When a zone has received its light target, Copernicus starts that zone’s irrigation, so watering follows the sun, not the clock.

  3. 03

    Run it from one screen

Set up zones and targets on the controller’s touchscreen. Rain is taken into account.

Built for the long haul

Industrial components. Industry-standard protocols.

The commercial Copernicus is built on industrial components and industry-standard protocols, so it’s made to live in a working irrigation head, season after season.

Who it’s for

Built for growers who irrigate substrate.

Primary

Substrate & tabletop berries under tunnels

Light-triggered irrigation for substrate and tabletop production, where demand changes with every cloud.

Also fits

Transplant greenhouses

Each zone is triggered from measured light, so different crops can run on their own targets.

Also fits

Nurseries

One touchscreen controller for scheduling irrigation by light across your zones.
